Colouring techniques customised for your customer
Multilens cosmetic coloured contact lenses can be used to change eye colour, reduce light sensitivity or hide a defective eye.
We colour everything from pupil to full iris in different colours, intensities and parameters, as well as occluding lenses. Below you can see a selection of our colouring techniques.

Iris print
We produce the standard ML Soft design with iris prints in spherical strengths -10.0 D / +15.0 D. To colour an iris print, we need photos of the eyes in daylight, information about the base curve and diameter of the lens, and the desired diameter for the colouring of the iris and pupil.

Filter
Different colours filter out different wavelengths of the visible light spectrum. Filters provide protection, contrast or comfort as needed. When colouring contact lenses, we offer ML450 or ML550 filters that can be tested using our filter lens test sets.

Craftsmanship
Colouring contact lenses is still a solid craft and we are proud that all our lenses are coloured on site in our production in Mölnlycke. Please contact our lens support for advice. We only colour our own ML Soft designs. Silicone hydrogel cannot be coloured.
