About Multilens
Optimising customers' vision
Multilens was founded in 1983 by Lars Hellström. After 35 years in the optical industry he decided to focus on the challenge that inspired him the most – solving difficult optical problems and helping people with reduced vision.
Our core values are care, innovation and knowledge.
First in the world
Together with optometrists, ophthalmologists and others in the optical industry, he developed new, innovative solutions in specialised optics and soon the entire Hellström family was involved. For example, Multilens became the first company in the world to offer low vision aids such as optical systems and filters in plastic lenses!

Local production
We have a full-scale production in Mölnlycke outside of Gothenburg, Sweden, where we grind, colour, coat and mount lenses and manufacture contact lenses.
We manufacture some products under license and serve as a local distributor for certain low vision aids. Additionally, we engage in collaborations with companies specialising in eye tracking and visual noise reduction.
In short, we are passionate about offering the best solutions in the field of special optics!
